This is a book launch for the release of Inside Prefab: The Ready-made Interior and will last from 7-9pm. The event will explore the evolution of prefabricated interiors from a production of ‘standardized serialism’ to that of ‘endless variations’.

The New York New Work exhibition is up in the West 4th Street subway station, featuring the Glen Oaks Branch Library. The exhibit is sponsored by the AIA New York City and the Center for Architecture and is part of Archtober, the month-long celebration of architecture in New York City. The Toni Stabile Student Center at the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University has been named the Archtober building of the day for Friday, October 21st. Public Matters: New York Architecture after 9/11 – an exhibition curated by the Temple Hoyne Buell Center for the Study of American Architecture, Columbia University – will present the Glen Oaks Library by Marble Fairbanks. The exhibition will open September 9 at 5:30pm. The Buell Center will also host a related open table discussion, in which Scott Marble and Karen Fairbanks will participate, on September 12 at 6:30 pm.
