Urban Dove Team Charter School recently celebrated their newly renovated Brooklyn location and brand new gym. It was an honor to see students begin utilizing the new space. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work with this incredible organization from the early phases of strategic planning through construction.
Urban Dove is a sports-based high school for over-aged, under-credited youth that combines a rigorous academic curriculum with a hands-on, real-world vocational program. We partnered with the organization in 2019 to develop a strategic plan for the school to expand across all NYC boroughs and developed the team charter school in Brooklyn as a renovation to an existing building. We continue to work with Urban Dove as they expand and grow. Read more about the work Urban Dove is doing here.

Join Scott on June 19th in Atlanta for a presentation at ARCHITECT magazine‘s Breakthrough Series. Scott and his colleague, Dennis Shelden, will be discussing new initiatives at Georgia Tech School of Architecture to research the spectrum of possibilities for the future of practice; to prepare emerging architects for the next generation of careers; and to engage the local and regional professional, technology, and entrepreneurship communities to establish Atlanta and beyond as an innovation hub of design practice.
Jason Roberts and Karen are presenting at Society for College and University Planning (SCUP)‘s Northeast Regional Conference in Boston. Their presentation, Parametric Planning: Designing the Design Process for Space Planning, will demonstrate how custom built tools led to the strategic master plan for Parsons School of Design. They will be joined by Nadine Bourgeois, Dean for Academic Planning at Parsons, for their talk presented today.
We are proud to announce that Karen will be honored at this year’s Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation Leadership Awards Gala. The Oculus Award is given to an individual who demonstrates significant leadership in teaching and research, enhancing and furthering understanding of gender issues in architecture and related fields.
